About the Event

Betty’s 90th Epic Birthday Party

So many people consider Betty Wooden a Mother, Aunt, Cousin, In-law, Best Friend, Sister, Confidant, Therapist, Mentor, great neighbor or just a all round great person, that we, her children, with a whole lot of pride, just had to have a big ass blow out Epic birthday party for her 90th.  The surviving Beatles are coming, but the exterminator promised he’d take care of that problem before the party.

Whether or not you fit into one of the above categories, you must join-in the event in some way or fashion.  It wouldn’t be the same without you.  If you are reading this invitation, you are or have been a important part in Betty’s life.  Really, this party is not just for her 90th birthday, but is a celebration of her life and her impact on all of our lives.

We are giving several months notice to arrange your schedule to fit into this “group hug” we are going to give her.  We know that this is a big “ask” for those of you who live a long way off or have a number of family members to transport.  Your presence will be all that more special to everyone.

Ways to Attend

There are many different ways you can attend this event.

1. Come for the whole 3 days (or longer).  Stay here on the compound and rough it with family, kids and animals (bring your own if you want), but don’t expect the Ritz, just a modest family compound.  We have two houses and 4.5 acres to sleep or camp out how ever you fit in. First come picks their space.
2. Come for 1 or more events, hours or days and stay with us as in #1 or camp in a nearby RV campground or stay in a hotel/motel near by.  Sorry, that will be on your dime.
3. If you are within reasonable driving distance and don’t intend to drink, or you have a designated driver, please come for any event.  Hell come and go for all the events and stay at your own place.  Just be safe. The main event will be Saturday October 6th all day and into the night.
4. If all my pleading fails, or you just can’t make it here physically, please consider:
   1. writing a heart felt letter about what Betty means to you or a fond memory.
   2. Send pictures you might have of you and/or Betty from years gone by.
   3.  Best of all would be a audio or video recording of you and your family saying hi and wishing her a happy birthday.
